On September 26, 2012, Governor Brown signed into law Assembly Bill 2296, Chapter 585, Statues of 2012 that requires institutions governed by the California Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 to make the following disclosures to prospective students:

Effective January 1, 2013 California Education Code CCE §94897(p) requires the following disclosures to be made to prospective students:

  1. The Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis (ICP)  is approved by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE)  to operate as an Institution Non-Accredited.   ICP’s school code with the Bureau is 25168. This institution is a private institution approved to operate by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education. Approval to operate means the institution is compliant with the minimum standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.
