More about the presenter and discussant:

Dr. Joye Weisel-Barth is a senior instructor, training analyst, and supervisor at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in Los Angeles. She teaches courses in Basic Analytic Concepts, Freud, Interpersonal Psychoanalysis, Neuroscience, Attachment Theory, and Varieties of Relational Psychoanalysis. Joye is Book Review editor for Psychoanalysis, Self and Context, Associate Editor of Psychoanalytic Dialogues, and a frequent contributor to major psychoanalytic journals. Her analytic practice in Encino, California, and she loves her doggies.

Charles Levin, Ph.D is a supervising and training analyst affiliated with the Canadian Institute of Psychoanalysis (CIP), director of the Montreal branch of the CIP, and editor-in-chief of the Canadian Journal of Psychoanalysis. He works in private practice in Montreal, in English and French. His publications include Art in the offertorium: narcissism, psychoanalysis and cultural metaphysics (2012, principal co-author), Confidentiality (2003, principal co-editor), and “The mind as a complex internal object: inner estrangement” (Psychoanalytic Quarterly, 2010).
