Dr. Gellman is a psychoanalyst, psychotherapist, lecturer and author specializing in eating disorders, bipolarity, high conflict divorce and most issues relating to relationships. Dr. Gellman has been in private practice for over 30 years in West Los Angeles. She received her doctorate in psychoanalysis in the year 2000 from the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis in West Los Angeles, former member Board of Directors, and is on the faculty and a training supervisor.

She completed her course work for her Ph.D. in 1980. Her thesis examined hearing impaired children and how they use their voice as a tool in understanding their emotions and internal world.

She received her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy in 1972 and prior to that was a training teacher for the Los Angeles Board of Education teaching in South Central L.A. and Pacoima. She earned her teaching credential at UCLA.
