Jolie Krechman, Ph.D.
I’m a licensed psychologist with over 20 years of clinical experience. I completed my graduate training in the Bay Area in 1997 at the California School of Professional Psychology. I relocated to Portland for my pre-doctoral internship and started my practice in 1999, after completing licensure. I have a forensic background and for many years conducted evaluations for the courts, primarily in parenting matters. I also worked extensively for the Department of Corrections, providing mental health services to inmates for several years. In 2007, I decided to focus my time building my therapy practice and participated in a two-year analytic program at Oregon Psychoanalytic Center.
In 2013, I decided to further my studies and began analytic training at ICP, participating in the weekend program. I am currently a fifth-year candidate. I was drawn to ICP for a variety of reasons, primarily for the breadth and plurality of the program and the emphasis on two-person psychologies. I have learned a tremendous amount and am honored to be part of such a great institute. In my practice I work with older teens and adults on a variety of issues and view the therapeutic process as a collaborative one in which both therapist and patient are working together toward a common goal. I would describe my style as curious, active, and attuned.
